Catholic ABC’s Week: 12
Letter of the week: G
Theme: Good Shepherd
Saint of the Week: St. George
Craft: We are His Sheep
This craft was equally enjoyed by my 2-year-old and my 4-year-old! I didn’t get to try it out at our co-op because my daughter was too sick for us to attend that day, but it worked well at home. 🙂 Be sure to find great lesson plan helpers for The Good Shepherd at The Catholic Toolbox. Now, on with the craft!
Materials Needed to Complete This Craft:
- White card stock or poster board
- Black Construction Paper
- Clothes Pins
- Cotton Balls
- School Glue (this is not a good project for glue sticks)
- Googly eyes or Office stickers for notebook paper holes
- Marker
Prep Work: First cut ovals from poster board or card stock. We used foam board because we had extra, but card stock would be better. Cut lamb heads out of black construction paper. Also, write “We are” and “His sheep” on the clothespins.
Why yes, Julian does like Lightning McQueen… why do you ask?

Love this…my kids love cotton balls. Will do! Thanks
I love the eyes and mouth! LOL!
Thank you so much for this site. I am not Catholic, but I teach Pre-k in a Cathoilc school. I have been able to implement some of the things you suggest in my classroom. (They LOVE the preist dolls). Do you know of any other authors that write good Catholic children's books besides Tomie DePaola?
Adorable! the project and the Lightening McQueen fan!
Love it:)
