Ok, I just loved the Divine Mercy Sundaes so much that you can pretty much expect “Liturgical Sundaes” to become a staple here. 🙂 It’s such an easy way to celebrate- no prep, just serving time and delicious celebration of Pentecost Sunday with your kids! (No cooking involved is such a big plus for me!) You can find all of my Holy Spirit resources for kids here.

My kids absolutely loved this! The only thing was that of three stores here, no one seems to carry Strawberry syrup. However, they do carry a Strawberry Topping (Bryers) which also works quite well. After the “Sundaes” our children played a game of “Holy Spirit Fire”. This game is played like hot potato except when throwing yellow, red, and orange “puffs” around they had to name one of the 7 Gifts of the Holy Spirit and it had to be different for the first time and then name what they could remember afterwards. Thanks for all of these wonderful ideas! What a blessing your website is!
Weird that none of your stores had it. Is it a southern thing? Glad it worked out!
“Holy Spirit Fire” what a great idea!! thanks for the share
We also used redhot candies for the ‘tongues of fire’
Great idea!
I am in Sweden and jam, especially the squeeze kind, is often used with ice cream. That is what we will use with cherries on top since we do not have fireballs here. I will skip the Dove chocolate as I am diabetic and use “light” ice cream. With the strawberry jam and drizzled syrup, that is quite enough. I LOVE the concept though. 🙂
We have food allergies so, we’ll be using coconut based vanilla ice cream and homemade strawberry topping. I’m not sure what to substitute for the fireball but I’m sure I’ll figure something out.
I love this! Pinned. 🙂
Yay! Thank you! 🙂
