I Believe In 1 God Craft- Bible Craft For Letter G

I kid you not that I was talking to my husband the night before co-op saying “I can’t think of anything to do for the letter ‘G’ in my Christian ABC’s series!” (In Catholic ABC’s, G is for grotto, so that really doesn’t work in a non-denominational co-op.) He said “You’re kidding, right? G is for God.” Duh!!!

So I went onto the internet to browse for ideas. You know what my husband told me then? He said “Pinterest and the internet is making you less creative. You used to be better at thinking of things on your own.” I went on to tell him that actually the internet made me more creative, it was hard to think of something as generic as ‘God’, yadda yadda yadda. While I’m busy telling him how the internet is good for me, I find it! The perfect ‘God’ craft! Guess what site it was on? Yep… I actually tracked down my own craft on Catholic Icing.

Maybe he had a point about the internet making me less creative. Lol.

Anywho, I did change it up a bit since the translation of the Apostles’ Creed changed a little, so here’s your new Apostles’ Creed craft for kids. This also has to be the easiest God craft you’ll ever find, and perfect for preschoolers!

Supplies Needed:

  • Paper
  • Pencil
  • Marker
  • Scissors

Yep, that’s actually it. I let all the preschoolers choose their own color of paper (yes, even when a boy wanted pink, I still let them choose.)

I let them start coloring on the paper while I went around and traced everyone’s hand (and by “I”, I actually mean me and my classroom assistant. Don’t know how I would do it without her!) Make sure to trace some arm as well so it would be a little bigger. Then write “1 God” on the arm part.

Post continues after this brief information about the Catholic ABCs Curriculum

Catholic ABCs Curriculum for Preschool and Kindergarten

Catholic ABCs Curriculum

Catholic ABCs is a hand-on curriculum full of crafts, printables, worksheets, saints, learning, and more for preschoolers and kindergartners. There are over 2,000 pages that you can use for multiple school years! (This is also a great supplement for 1st and 2nd graders.)

When they were finished coloring on it, I cut it out and let them fold the fingers down.

Cute, huh?

Older kids can get into this more by doing a nicer job with the coloring.
