Jesus Knocking Craft {Christian Song Crafts for Kids}

Today begins my series of crafts to go with fun, Christian children’s songs! Today’s song is about Jesus knocking, and is called “Behold, Behold”. In this post, you’ll find the lyrics to this song, easy guitar chords for playing the song, a free printable craft to go with it, and a YouTube video to teach you how to sing the song. It’s one of my kid’s favorites and they sing it all the time! It’s based on the bible verse Revelation 3:20.

“Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come into him and eat with him, and he with me.”

As promised, here’s the craft we made to go with this song and Bible Verse.

Template of a door hangar with Jesus and Revelation 3:20

Color your door hanger, and then fold the paper down the middle line. Cut out along the outside lines, the dotted line, and cut out the circle for the door knocker. Use a glue stick to hold the 2 sides together. Hang it on a door so Jesus can stand there and “Knock, Knock, Knock”! I am in love with this idea!

The front of this craft has a picture to color of Jesus knocking, and on the back is the bible verse that goes with this craft and song.

Monthly Liturgical Membership

Catholic Liturgical Monthly Membership

Perfect for families! Each month you gain access to printable activity pages, crafts, home altar pieces, and more.

Never has living the liturgical year been so easy and affordable!

You can also buy foam door hangers for crafting at Dollar Tree, 3 for $1. If you want to make the foam ones, just cut the pieces out, glue them on, and decorate as desired. Y’all know how my daughter, Lydia, loves to make her crafts unique!

This craft is so easy, even my 2-year-old made one! (I helped her with the cutting, of course). This would be a cheap and easy Bible craft you could easily do with an entire classroom or CCD class.

I also wanted to include the lyrics and guitar chords for this song. It’s easy enough for beginners to play on the guitar. I’m a 3 chord wonder and can figure out how to play all sorts of things on the guitar using only easy chords. 😉 For those of you who might not know this adorable song, here’s a YouTube video of yours truly singing it and playing the guitar. (Watching will help you learn to play it on the guitar as well)

Behold Behold Chords and Lyrics

This would be a great christian craft for Vacation Bible School, Sunday School, CCD, or any other time! It’s always a good time to learn a bible verse with kids, right?

What a beautiful voice! I am jealous! lol Love this craft. I am going to have 4th and 5th graders in CCD next year and I think this would actually be popular with the kids!

  2. Keep them coming (as you find time, of course. As I recall, time is at a premium, no matter what age the little darlings are).

This is bookmarked for future reference. Yep, the 1st graders are going to learn to sing this year!

  3. Hi Lacy. Thanks so much for sharing this. This will go along great with another song about Jesus Knocking at your door my two older girls are learning for our VBS. Blessings, Lori

What an awesome activity and craft, Lacy. Thank you so much for all the wonderful inspiration you give to parents, grandparents and just people like me who love to teach kids about Jesus.
    Blessing hugs,
    Teresa

PS – How is that new baby?

    • She’s doing great! As much as I hate being pregnant- that’s how much I love babies! 😉

  5. Thank you!!!! 3 of my kids stood here at the computer and had me play your song again and again. They are now humming and coloring the craft. God bless you for sharing your talents!

    • Glad someone is enjoying it! I can’t listen to myself sing, so I watch my videos only 1 time to make sure the quality is ok. 😉

  6. My two girls made me play it over and over, too. The craft is cut out now and ready for them to color it. I also ordered your book for more fun.

  7. Thank you so much Lacy for all of your wonderful resources! I am so excited that God led me to your site! As a Catholic School Teacher I have found your Catholic Icing to be exactly what I needed on my cake! God bless you for all that you do!
