Inspired by these “Perfect Pairings” Valentines from Family Fun, I felt challenged to come up with some cute perfect pairings that would be religious… because Christian stuff can be just as cute and fun as anything else, right guys? I mean, St. Valentine’s Feast Day is a religious holiday after all! 😉
The idea is to make a simple Valentine by cutting out a heart from paper, and then decorating it with your chosen Bible verse or prayer. Then match it with a candy or treat that has a coordinating name, and use some double sticky tape to attach it! Be sure to stress the word that coordinates to your treat by drawing it in bold, making it bigger, or using a different color of marker. Here are some ideas I came up with:
Strengthen me with raisin cakes, refresh me with apples, for I am faint with love. Song 2:5
(This one could be paired with apples or raisins.
Both would be healthy choices!)
Runts, Jujyfruits, or even those cheap strawberry candies.)
prayer and think it goes great with a fire ball!)No one has greater love than this, to lay down ones
life for a friend. John 15:13(This bible verse goes nicely with a lifesavers candy.)
See how I love your precepts, Lord; in your kindness

Monthly Liturgical Membership
give me life. Psalm 119:159
(This one also goes well with lifesavers.)
Fill us at day break with your love, that all
our days we may sing for joy. Psalm 90:14
(I put an Almond Joy with this bible verse.)
SOOO cool!!! 🙂 You are very creative 🙂
I am so excited to use the one w/ fruits of the spirit. It is the PERFECT tie in for my class…we are talking about the fruits today & I was trying to tie that lesson w/ Valentines Day. THANK YOU!!!
These are so sweet :O)
